Hi, I'm Dr. Shaquana Jones, a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

Why I Started Versatile DPC?

I founded Versatile Direct Primary Care because I believe healthcare should be personal, accessible, and built on lasting relationships—not rushed appointments. My nursing background taught me that some of the most important moments in healthcare happen when patients simply feel heard. That's the kind of practice I wanted to build.

My Experience

Throughout more than 10 years of clinical experience in urgent care, acute care, critical care, surgical services, and chronic disease management, I've learned that one of the most powerful tools in medicine is simply taking the time to listen. Every patient has a unique story, and every healthcare decision should begin by understanding that story.

In addition to caring for patients, I enjoy teaching future healthcare professionals as an adjunct instructor, which has strengthened my passion for patient education and clear communication.

I was honored to receive the Constance Hall Scholarship through the Sigma Omega Chapter in recognition of my commitment to academic excellence and professional practice.

Beyond Healthcare

When I'm not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with my spouse , two children and three dogs. Maintaining balance, wellness, and strong family relationships is important to me, and those same values influence how I care for every patient. I like the mountains and the ocean.

My Philosophy

My approach is rooted in the nursing philosophy of caring for the whole person. I focus on prevention, education, and partnership, helping patients understand their health so they can make confident, informed decisions. A track coach and nursing instructor once shared the same lesson that has stayed with me throughout my career:

"Knowledge is power."

That belief continues to guide how I care for every patient. My reason for adequately continuing education.

I created Versatile Direct Primary Care to remove many of the frustrations of traditional healthcare, including long wait times, rushed visits, and insurance-driven limitations. My goal is to provide care where you feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.

The name "Versatile" reflects my commitment to meeting patients where they are. Whether you're managing a chronic condition, recovering from an illness, working toward better health, or simply trying to stay well, your care should be tailored to your individual needs.
